IAI in collaboration with the International Federation of Accountants (IFAC) are organizing a virtual international webinar "Optimizing Sustainability Governance through a Single Set of High-Quality Global Sustainability Reporting Standards" on 12 April 2022. As a member of the B20 Integrity & Compliance Task Force, IAI is honored to have the B20’s support to recognize the webinar as part of the B20 Integrity & Compliance Task Force Side Event, as initiated by the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KADIN). This webinar is part of a series of three B20 side events that will be organized by IAI and IFAC in 2022.

In a global and interconnected world, there is an urgent call for the leaders of the G20 and business community to act on promoting sustainable governance in business to support Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) initiatives. This webinar is aimed to promote sustainable governance in business by providing the latest information on sustainability disclosure standard that will be published by the International Sustainability Standard Boards (ISSB). It will also strengthen the engagement of the B20 community and stakeholders in Indonesia and G20 countries, as part of the collaborative actions with leaders of the profession in making impactful decision towards establishment of the global sustainability reporting standards.

The webinar will present prominent business leaders and professionals including Ibu Shinta Kamdani, Chair of the B20, Bapak Haryanto T. Budiman, Chair of the B20 Integrity & Compliance Task Force, Sue Lloyd, Vice Chair of the ISSB, and Kevin Dancey, CEO of IFAC.

According to Shinta Kamdani, Chair of B20, "As the Chair of B20, I believe that this B20 and IAI collaboration in hosting this side event is highly substantial to promote and advocate to stakeholders of the B20 priorities and reflect the practical approach in pushing global innovative, inclusive and collaborative economic growth, including through a stronger foundation of sustainable governance for companies. I do appreciate the continuous hard work of IAI and B20 Integrity & Compliance Task Force in pushing an initiative to amplify accountability and transparency of G20 businesses".

“To achieve net zero emission target in tackling climate change and maintaining sustainability, a strong and solid sustainable governance is required. As a response to this matter, in December 2020 IAI established the IAI Task Force on Comprehensive Corporate Reporting (TF CCR IAI) which is aimed to promote and accelerate the adoption of a high quality, globally converged, and accepted sustainability reporting standard.”, said Prof. Mardiasmo, President of IAI.
More than 2,000 participants from around 30 countries are expected to attend this virtual webinar. Join us on this event through Ikatan Akuntan Indonesia YouTube channel https://bit.ly/b2012april.
